Music Therapy
Music Therapy is a primarily non-verbal and interactive psychological intervention that has been proven to relieve psychological symptoms related to issues of mental and physical health. It provides a process through which the participants can express themselves, become aware of their feelings and interact more easily through the shared use of sound.
The therapeutic effects of music on the body and the mind are used to achieve therapeutic goals. To work towards therapeutic goals, the participants can either take part in making music (active music therapy) or stay listening to music (receptive music therapy). There is no need for the participants to be able to play an instrument, however the participants should bring along an interest in any kind of music.
